Everything from the characters to the story and the basic ideas is so well written that this has become one of the best anime series i have ever seen. As of april 26, 2011, twelve tankōbon volumes have been released in japan. I'm a longtime fan of anime, and i'd heard of future diary a few times over the years but never took the time to watch it.
