However, it is still a stupid trope, especially when we consider that anime girls with circular or oval eyes (oval vertically, not horizontally) suddenly have their eyes almost closed when smiling. We arrived to our final destination in the series of smiling and in this last part were gonna focus on the different types of smiling faces we meet every day. The one trope that actually should be on every “bad anime trope” list is getting a cold for being out in the rain or accidentally getting wet or cold.

Eyes and eye motifs are traditionally associated with the spiritual and the occult, connected to the idea of perceiving/seeing something beyond the ordinary.
